“National Theatre Live” is jointly staged by the National Theatre of China and the Royal National Theatre. The program brings top productions from the stages of London and New York to Beijing and UCCA via high-definition screenings. About the film: When an old adversary threatens Rome, the city calls once more upon her hero and defender: Coriolanus. But he has enemies at home too. Famine threatens the city, the citizens’ hunger swells to an appetite for change, and on returning from the field, Coriolanus must confront the march of realpolitik and the voice of angry people.
