Master composer Ye Xiaogang has a talent for melody and uses creative techniques to find expression in the different styles he works in. He has composed everything from symphony and opera scores to movie and television music, and has received many awards, including the Composer Award from the Guggenheim Foundation. The Baotou Orchesta, which is affiliated with the Baotou Ethnic Song and Dance Theatre, appears with the China National Symphony Orchestra, Han Mouren, a master of the Mongolian horsehead fiddle, and a full compliment of talented vocalists to perform selections from his works.
