Snow White

Audition/Enrollment: May 6, 2017

Beijing Playhouse Academy of Performing Arts announces open enrollment for the following kid’s theatre camp.

The longest running English theatre camp program in China.

SHOW: Participants, age 6-14, will perform Snow White with acting, song, and dance. Aspiring actors, singers, dancers, and musicians are all welcome. Some English proficiency is required.

TEACHERS: Six teachers and six teaching assistants from Beijing Playhouse main stage shows teach eight classes every day. Some classes are 30 students, many are 5 or 10 students, some classes are one on one. Student teacher ratio of 2.5:1.

DATES: Your child can have fun doing a play during the Summer holiday. Camp lasts two weeks, Monday—Saturday, 9 am—4 pm, ending with a family performance.

Enroll in 1, 2, or all 3 camps.

EDUCATIONAL MISSION: We concentrate on the learning process. While all our camps end with a show, the show is not the point. The educational process of getting there is the mission. We enjoy seeing children grow and learn.

EARLY AUDITION/ENROLLMENT DATE: Everyone will be cast. The early audition/enrollment date is April 8.

EARLY ENROLLMENT DISCOUNT: 10% early enrollment discount for enrolling on or before April 8 early enrollment discount date.

SNOW WHITE AUDITION/ENROLLMENT: Saturday, May 6 at 10 am. (Most of our summer camps sell out. So we advise enrolling early.)

ENGLISH: Camps require an intermediate level of English.

ROLE(S): All roles open. Boys and girls, age 6-14. (Theatre internships are also available for older students.)

TUITION: 9,000 RMB for each two week camp. That includes 12 teachers and 84 hours of instruction.

When it comes to teaching theatre to children, it’s not about the show at the end, it’s about the educational journey to get there.
