You have your new company, but that doesn't mean you can run it all by yourself. Whether it's teachers, secretaries, managers, chefs or zookeepers, you'll need to hire others at some point. And there's a lot more to the process than just putting up a classifieds ad.


In our 3rd Bootstrap Business Lecture, we look at the ins and outs of new foriegn owned companies legally hiring staff, both Chinese and foreigners.

Join Cultural Keys for a series of lectures that help expats looking to start their own businesses in Beijing understand the issues and options, from the initial registration process, to banking and taxes, HR and how to link a new company in Beijing to an existing company in Hong Kong.


Week 1 - June 15 - Registering a new company in Beijing


Week 2 - June 22 - Banking and taxes for new companies


Week 3 - June 29 - Hiring staff and visa issues for new companies


Week 4 - July 6 - Opening a HK company and linking to a Mainland business


Every week, we will have a one-hour presentation, followed by a 30 minute Q+A session, and then the opportunity for anyone who wishes to introduce themselves and their proposed business to take the stage for 3 minutes to find possible partners and source assistance. After each event, participants will be welcome to stay around and network.


These lectures will be given by Danny Yang, Senior Consultant at Bison Chang, a dual language accounting, taxation and business advisory firm based in Beijing and Hong Kong that has already helped multitudes of expats kick-start their business dreams through their provision of affordable, efficient and straight-talking services.


Our events will be held at Bison & Chang's offices in Sanlitun Soho, Building 1, 11th Floor, Gongtibeilu. In Chinese, the address is 北京市朝阳区三里屯SOHO A座11层汇阳国际商务中心 大会议室.

The cost of this event is 200 RMB per person, per event, payable in advance via PayPal or WeChat. However, if you sign up for all 4 events, the cost is 600 RMB in total. Please email us at events@culturalkeys.cn to request a PayPal invoice, or add AJDonnelly on WeChat to pay via WeChat wallet.


This event is open to all. However, it is specifically aimed at foreigners who are have not yet started the process of opening their own companies in Beijing, but are hoping to do so soon.
