This comes from a that's Beijing reader ... anyone know the answer to his queries?
Where can I find the complete store to buy all the spirits alcohol to make cocktails and the complete bartending equipment (shakers, jiggers and stuff)?
your best bet is to go to a wholesale store for restaurants. That is where i got my shaker and the rest of my equipement. Alternatively, try to convice your favorite bartender to sell you some.
I've been in bars where the bartenders lament the equipment they have and are looking for decent stuff. Ikea doesn't cut it... does anyone know where to get high-end bartending equipment in China? Also, reasonably-priced glasses (I love Riedel, but it's a bit pricey).

Can you point us in the direction of one of these wholesale stores? I am also having trouble finding decent bartending equipment in the Jing.
Who still uses a jigger, seriously? Especially if this if for home use. You are seriously going to use one at home. C'mon. Be a real human and go for the gravity pour and make sure you engage in conversation at the same time for added stiffness of your drink.
Just utilize a long three count. For example...ooonnnnnnnne, twoooooooooooooooo, threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Voila, a stiff drink for anyone after slaving for the wage in the Jing all day. No one leaves my abode without at least a stiff enough drink to add a bit of wobble or sway to their gait.
Ice, shakers, strainer (if that), glasses, several functioning livers, and booze. The only equipment you'll need.

I also like to keep a bottle of aspirin, several pails and 40 liters of fresh drinking water available... but then againi, not everyone has guests like mine...

It seems like you entertain for a veritable menagerie of drinkers-elephants, monkeys, pandas. 40 liters...hahah...got enough TP on hand, too?

We don't use TP, we use old newspapers. Save the environment, and all that shite... hic!

Re: Barteding equipment
with the number of bar-goers and drinkers reading that's Beijing, you'd think someone would be able to answer this question ...
