Hatsune
I got hit with a serious sushi craving this evening, and tracked down the place I always liked to go when I was studying here last. It's called Hatsune; it's on ??? ?Guanghua lu?, very close to ?? (hong miao'r) in Chaoyang. The place was exactly as I remembered it; great atmosphere, incredible food (and they always throw in a free appetizer and dessert when I eat there, I think it must be standard practice). The hot sake is never quite as hot as I like it, but as I never drink fewer than 2, a simple "re yi dian'r" when ordering the second bottle always takes care of that. Mmm, so full and sated. Anyone else been here? Agree/disagree with my impressions? Know of sushi places in Beijing that blow hatsune away?

Re: Hatsune
Why does it always replace my hanzi with questions marks? I've seen 'em in other people's posts... Is it because I'm using a mac? I have no problem writing 'em in emails, on livejournal, or anything like that, so methinks it's endemic to this forum.

Re: Hatsune
Sorry, you may now smack the n00b; I found the thread on Hatsune, I'll be sure to search before starting a new thread on a restaurant in the future. That said, I can't find jack on the subject of this forum scrambling hanzi...

Re: Hatsune
I've heard about Hatsune opening up a branch in Shanghai. Does anyone know anything about this? I've got friends in Shanghai wanting to try good Japanese food but somethting different than the usual (and crappy) all-u-can eat, it'll be great if Hatsune has a Shanghai branch.
