Any Western dining venue you can bring kids along?

On a regular basis we go out with another couple and all of us bring the kids along. We like hip places such as Capone, El Figoncido etc.

But anybody of you have another idea, where to go with kids. They feel so quickly boring! At Capones they can run through the Shopping Center and at Figoncido they can run just outside on the big Square which has no cars, but else?

Would appreciate your recommendations

Casa Mia in Sunshine 100 on Guanghua Lu has a playstructure outside of it. When the weather is warmer you can sit on the patio and watch the kids play.

Peter's TEx Mex has a playarea

Re: Any Western dining venue you can bring kids along?

Din Tai Fung has a fun children's play room. (Assuming little ones, right?)

And, The Orchard is very kid-friendly, with even an outdoor garden for kids to roam around and explore as the adults eat. No to mention, great food by a Californian chef.

A closed mouth gathers no feet.

Appreciate your suggestions. Will try them out

Kids are 3 and 7

However, what kind of food serves Ding Tai Fong and where is it?

Casa Mia seems to be Italian?

Thanks

Nothing more annoying than encountering spoiled children.

Casa Mia is Italian as well ... Annie's are usually kid-friendly as well, with play areas

Din Tai Fung serves Shanghai-style xiaolongbao dumplings

Best Family Meal

Steak and Eggs
Where to take the kids? This can certainly be a daunting proposition in a city like Beijing, but Steak and Eggs certainly seems to have figured out the magic formula for family-friendly dining. On any given weekend, you’ll find the place packed with moms, dads and their assorted munchkins, all enjoying the restaurant’s hearty North American fare. “I like the good value, friendly down-to-earth atmosphere and consistent quality,” says one dining dad. “The Early Bird Special breakfast is a classic and the burger is more than a handful ... what more could a family ask for?”

Honorable Mentions
Annie's
Grandma's Kitchen

Editor’s Pick
Zone de Confort
Here’s to target marketing: Zone de Confort gets rave reviews for its relatively generous spread of Continental and Asian fare and family-friendly prices (under RMB 100), but the real treat is the free kids’ cooking class (aka the “Kid’s Kitchen”) in which their gregarious chef teaches your little treasures how to make sandwiches and muffins while you kick back and enjoy a well-earned Bloody Mary (or two).

I also seem to remember Mexican Kitchen also having a play area (but not super sure of that)...

Re: Any Western dining venue you can bring kids along?

The Orchard is very child friendly - probably the most child friendly restaurant in Beijing. With a separate kids menu as well as a kids room with books, games and video games as well as ayis to watch them, parents can enjoy a meal knowing their kids are having fun, also eating well and being supervised.
