Hatsune = Salmonella

Just a warning in regards to our experiences at Hatsune. We had been there many times last year and found it to be dependable and safe.

This year my wife and I went on Valentines day. Ordered Sashimi and the Chicken Teriyaki Don and within about 8 hours I was having trouble and by the next morning was being treated for Salmonella.

So just a few days ago we were in the area and decided to try our luck again...we had the idea if we stuck to the cooked dishes we would be ok.

Wrong. Chicken Teriyaki again. This time it was much worse. Within a few hours I was "explosive" and by the next morning had fever, a racing pulse and a wild headache. The headache Salmonella gives you is really rather special. I am still laid up with fever and cannot realistically get more than 10m from the toilet.

Yah yah of course I can prove nothing scientifically about these allegations other than show that this is what had occured, but that's the truth of it. Anyone else?

Re: Hatsune = Salmonella

I'd say I believe you but my internal logic would dictate that if a person conclusively got SALMONELLA from a restaurant, they would almost definitely never go back ... AND order the same dish

The thing is we had been there many times in 2006 with no issues, and yah it is pretty good for a BJ restaurant...So the first time it happened I was not really sure what was up. I mean you can get sick with anything anywhere in BJ. But after the second time I feel I can start to draw some conclusions.

And yah I wont be going back lol.

Just an update...According to the fine doctors at SOS Clinic it was E. Coli.

Finally starting to feel better.

are you surprised? how many times have you seen chinese chefs visiting the customer toilet, do their thing and leave without washing? I've seen it a few times, last time at Nali. I dont know if the chef was from the brazilian or spanish joint, but his bowels sure didnt like what was in them.

hatsune used to be good (several years ago). now its simply become too popular for its own good. it was bound to happen.
