Where?

What's the price?

How do they do ti?

How long does it take?

How long does the effect last?

Is it painful?

How do you take it off?

What do your own eyelashes look like when you take the fake ones off?

What are the possible dangers, if any?

Re: eyelash extension

i wanna try this anci! no one will do it with me..

will you??

they do it at yashow..

its about 300 kuai.. they last 3 months.. then they just fall off one by one naturally..

it takes more than an hour... sitting in a chair with your head bent back (thats the part im worried about) cling wrap around your eyes and a person with tweezers gluing the falsies one by one to your upper lid..

ive seen it done lots of times while im gettng mani/pedi... the end result looks great..

Re: eyelash extension

Oh I'm thinking about doing it, but I'm a bit scared it might harm the eye or your own lashes, but if we discover it's nothing to worry about I'd love to do it with you dear. We can chat and kill the time, it would feel horrible if you're all alone there for one hour.

So, we'll just wait for few more responses if someone has any experience with it and for me to get my paycheck and some courage(I'm such a ...) and we can go.

Re: eyelash extension

one of my friends used to have that eyelashi extension, she made it in a beauty salon in Guangzhou. looks perfect.

it can last about 2-3 months, so usu. the beauty salon specialist will suggest u have a year card (for discount).the price varies from 180-400 RMB.
but it will also bring some inconvenience, and u should be very careful during face-washing,(avoid water at least for 3 days after that).

when u decide to have that extention, pay attention to the artificial eyelash and glue they gonna use. bad eyelashi extension will cause sensitive skin and inflamation.and they will come off several days later and hurt ur natural eyelash.

good luck~ Big Grin

Re: eyelash extension

A friend back home had it done, badly, and she said that they made her eyelashes so weak. Not sure what exactly that means, but she was not a happy camper.

Her lashes looked gorgeous when she started going to a better place though. Without the extensions, they looked a little sparse.

Re: eyelash extension

I am planning to have eyelash extension, but i am still afraid of loosing my own. One friend of mine, told me it was not good because you can loose your own eyelashes, that s happened to her. Usually she goes to cheap saloon-- probably they used cheap glues etc,.... And another one did it in Lido area for almost 300 kuai, they use good quality eyelash (flexible, soft, mascara no needed), and she s happy with that. Well i will just try before summer and see if it works with me. Any experience???

Re: eyelash extension

Hmm, after hearing these bit scary stories, I think I'll wait some more before I do it.

Re: eyelash extension

Eyelash extensions are great! They do require maintenance and you have to be careful around your eye area, which we should already be doing anyways. In any case, don't go cheap on this treatment.

I've tried a number of places, and have had good and bad experiences, and have found Nail+ in the Kerry Center very good and professional. They've got different choices of lash length and curvature. They also shape it so it doesn't obviously look like fake, gaudy lash extensions, which I see done on so many girls.

After you get the lashes done, stay lying there for a while to allow the glue to fully dry. Don't go to a place that tries to rush you out. The glue will sting your eyes if it's not fully dry. After I get my lashes done, I get an eyebrow or lip wax, or do some other treatment sometimes.

Re: eyelash extension

how much at that place in kerry?

Re: eyelash extension

Last time I was there, it was about 390rmb, which includes a full touch up within 1 month.

Where in the Kerry Center??? Do you mean Erick Paris???? If yes they moved to Hilton i think.

Re: eyelash extension

No, not Eric's. I have tried Eric's and would not recommend them. I was mentioning Nail+. They are located on the lower level, nearby the supermarket end of the mall and next to the Marie France shop.

Thanks :D

I had my eye lashes done almost 2 months ago, so to answer to ur questions:
Where? In a salon close to the Lido Hotel

What's the price? 150 RMB but you can choose the other option - 300 RMB includind the refill after 3 to 4 weeks

How do they do ti? chech this video http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=QFfBhjpCg9I&mode=related&search=

How long does it take? i thin almost 2 hrs

How long does the effect last? i had mine for one month without the refilling. What do your own eyelashes look like when you take the fake ones off

Is it painful? not at all but you have to be carefull, the glue is harmfull for eyes.

How do you take it off? really i have no idea. They come out by it own. It s better you go in a salon for that. I heard that some ppl use aceon to remove it --- weird.

After my own? Well i must admit that by nature my own eyelashes are thin... So i lost few eyelashes, because the use the american glue which hyper strong

What are the possible dangers, if any?
don t now

Unless you have to do, i don t recommand eyelashes extensions. It s so unconfortable at the beginning. You have to watch out your eyes while taking a shower, and some times i cold feel the dust in between he eyelashes because i was not washing my face properly .
The good thing about is that you will look like a Diva.

Re: eyelash extension

Thanks for the info Big Grin

I doubt I'll do it. Seems like too much trouble.

If I want the Diva look, I guess I'll just use those curler things to extreme. It seems to be safer option.

Thanks Big Grin

Re: eyelash extension

My experience is that they do look awesome for a few days but after a while they get annoying becuase you have to be careful doing everything from showering, to washing your face, to sleeping, to wiping things off your face (you are just alwayas conscious of them).. plus if you wear eyeliner or eyeshadow its a hassle.....

After a couple of weeks they start to fall out and move in differnet directions so they start to look weird. They also definitely affect your natural lashes... i redid mine once and took them out almost immediately because i realised it just wasn't worth jeapordising my own lashes which are already a reasonable length. I'd say try it for fun but be prepared to lose some of the lustre of your natural lashes (by the way they grow back to what the were normally atfer a couple of weeks).

If you don't have many eyelashes to start with then do it cuz it won't make a difference anyway. I have some chinese friends with non existent eyelashes who always get extensions and they love it.

Try it once and then decide what you thikn. If worst comes to worst you can have them removed.

Re: eyelash extension

Hi Ancicamila,

It's not painful..........If you want beautiful eyes just go for eyelashes extensions.
It really increases the beauty.

Re: eyelash extension

has anyone done it? how is it? can i have a tel nr.? I want to do it as well

Re: eyelash extension

I get it done sometimes at Frost Nails. Cost 150 with free redo within the month. I've done it at other places for a cheaper price but they use crappy glue which makes your eyes sting like hell.

It takes no longer than an hour, I would say 45 mins at most.

Just type frost nails into directory and you should find their number. They are next to the april gourment off of xin dong lu.

Re: eyelash extension

thanks for the tip i'll check out the place

Re: eyelash extension

There are also a number of eyelash conditioners available like Real Lash that helps to naturally thicken and lengthen the appearance of eyelashes.

Re: eyelash extension

Hey ladies!
For me eyelash extension problem was really vital, I've been doing it for more then two years at my home country (I'm from Ukraine) and I can't do without them here in China. So I checked the Beijinger on the subject. Someone recommended Nail Plus at Kerry Center, however, guys, just believe me, you don't wanna get your eyelashes there, it really sucks! Formerly I didn't believe those scary stories about reducing number of one's original eyelashes, but the quality there was so damn poor, they just don't care about one-to-one eyelash extension, just put much glue and lots of eyelashes, so you get something like one-day fake eyelashes (in fact, two weeks with losing part of your original ones). So they never fall down uniformly, you have groups of eyelashes pieced all over your eyes, that doesn't look natural, in fact. What is more, that's extra weight on your natural eyelashes, as there 5-6 fake eyelashes for 1-2 natural ones. The price was 400 RMB with a free correction within the month. I had to remove by myself several eyelashes that were left after 2 weeks, should I say that I didn't want to make any free corrections there? So I found a really good place at Da Wang Qiao (Subway Line 1), the price range is 200-800 depending on the type of eyelashes you wanna get. They have a discount system - ask me personally if interested. Though I doubt they speak English, anyway, I'm here till September of the year 2012 so I can help you, that's no problem and no personal interest, don't worry Smile So the address is Beizi Wanlu, Hou Xiandai Cheng, 5 hao, A zuo, 207 room, go on Google and you will find the place. You have to make the reservation a day before or earlier. They specialize in eyelash extensions and wedding dresses, and the quality is really high, I think that's the best thing you can get in Beijing. They have a really wide range of length, starting from something about 6 mm, and you can even have your down eyelashes extended, but I personally wouldn't do it. Be careful, 10 mm their length is less then 8 mm European normal length, so if you are not sure about the length just ask for the natural-looking, you will simply get something like mascara efect and the next time you will know for sure what you need. Yesterday I chose 10 mm length, but it just looks like I just wear mascara, so next time I will try 12 mm.
So good luck, feel free do ask me questions and use my 7% discount card (seriously, no kidding, you will be able to save more then 100 RMB).
