international travel international shipping same same but different right?!i don't know where this should go but.....
cheap way to send crap home?!leaving china and can't carry everything on one back...about 10kg to post, is there a better way than just dumping it at the post office?i don't care how long it takes, just want the cheapest option.does the PO even have a list of rates somewhere so you can check weight/size-cost before they tape it up for you and then break it to you how much it's gonna be...??

I had to read your post twice in order to understand it.
Yes, there are rates at the post office itself (use the info machine, or ask them for a book of rates). You can also google something like "china post" and they have rates on their site as well.
It's better to be nice, kind, generous, friendly, helpful, sexy and rich than to be obnoxious, scary, stinky, stingy, lonely and poor.

An English link to quote the shipping rates for parcels overseas. Pack the box to the post office for a visual inspection before sealing it.

I've used PO to send stuff, it takes about 2 months, but what if I wanna ship my piano... are they reliable?or I have to go out to get some cargo shipping company...

If you want to ship a piano or other large cargo, PM me, I'm a freight forwarder. Alternatively, you can contact a relocation service like Santa Fe or Crown.

To thread starter: it does sound same-same, although one refers to a person/group of people, the other is to non-living stuff or pets
From what location are you sending the stuff from? That would make a difference as to the term 'cheap rates.' Usually I find it easier to deal with shipping companies that has a main office in my city. If anything goes wrong with my parcel/boxes, I can easily do-follow up directly.
I live in NY, my husband needed to stay in China for 6 months. We shipped his stuff 2 weeks ahead before he flew to China. This is the shipping company we used http://www.nyshipping.com/ rates are cheap and watch-out for their promos as prices can still go low. Their service is excellent, no need to follow-up.
Aside from rates, check if the company is credited to legally operate shipping stuff and read reviews in forums or rating websites.
