i'd say that you could try the longfusi area mall, or Xidan (these areas are popular with the young'uns)

first off, it's sad when ppl judge others by clothing, or at least without know what that clothing is.
second, i can make gothic lolita accessories have made many,(along with costumes too), i can make outfits as well but i currently lacka sewing machine. None the less if you are looking for comissioned work i'm available.
i dont ship crap unless you pay for it all ahead of time and i charge my cab cost for meeting you in a far part of bj.
if it is a small commission i require all $$ up front, big half and half is fine...
i do not redo things, i have done this enough that, when i meet you or discuss it, i draw it out exactly like it's gonna look, i take measurements, everything will fit, unless u get fatter or smaller.. i always to progress pix to avoid issues.
I charge according to cnd funds(or at this point same as usd) so 7rmb to 1 usd, so if i say 100usd it's 700rmb...
if you got any questions ask..

What, pardon my ignorance, is cosplay?

Re: Gothic / Lolita / Visual / Cosplay - stuff available???
costume play = cosplay
most people that are into cosplay are anime fans as that seems to be the basis for most people however cosplay can be any form of dressing up in costume for fun.
my sugesstion is take a visit to cosplay.com and look in the galleries.

So this is like Gothic roleplaying? I've never tried anything like that before. Do you play yourself but in a darker sense, or act out as a completely different character?

It actuallly sounds like it could be interesting. Though, I'd just assume do it in normal street clothes, rather than costumes, which really seems like a lot of trouble to go through. This way, it will seem as though we're living in our modern age. And instead of role-playing, be ourselves, except maybe draw up our more excessive dramatic elements, but repress them from our lips. Every phrase then uttered takes on two levels of meanings, the obvious and subtle. Conversation then conforms cleanly, even perfectly, to commonly perceived reality, but discourse follows the subtle and repressed entirely.
Hmmm... if anyone can understand what I just wrote and wants to try it, PM me.

Yeah, there is one in the bottom of the xidan mall. just walked inside once with this gal, being a middle aged man I wouldnt be caught dead in that stuff, but i can see the attraction to it: Damn, that stuff is super sexy, everything from naughty nurse to spacy sh*t. I think it is one level up from the ice skating rink, or at least somewhere nearby it. good luck.

Re: Gothic / Lolita / Visual / Cosplay - stuff available???
Don't knock the Batman costume.
When I was 25 or so, I bought a really nice high-quality one from a costume store (about $150, but just to rent it was going to be half that, so I figured wtf).
Now, as most superficial guys, I've done whatever it takes to get laid in the past. That includes props, pickup lines, etc. But I am here to tell you, nothing got me laid like that Batman costume. Of course, it was only effective around Halloween time. I would have loved to have worn it year round, but I think outside of Halloween week it just might have had the opposite effect.
I think I even still have the costume stored away somewhere, though I haven't worn it in at least 10 years.
And that's my confession of the day.
