Games Workshop stuff in Beijing - RPG Models

Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you knew if any stores in Beijing sold Games Workshop figurines and tabletop RPG supplies such as dice, books and paints? If so, where are they?
Would really appreciate any help.

there's a cool floor (6th?) at the soshow near chong wen men subway exit. you can see it from the subway exit.
there's also another really cool floor in the basement of "e-world" plaza (the building with the gigantic "e" on it) in zhong guan cun.

Do they sell Warhammer stuff there? Is it for playing Warhammer? Do they have terrain & stuff? I don't play much (too expensive and time-consuming for the pieces) but I have some friends who get together at a crappy apartment every few weeks and play. A better place would be welcome.

As far as I know you can't. My friends and I get together ever now and then and play. If we want to buy new stuff we usually wait until someone takes a trip overseas and we all place orders.

ive also been scouring the city for this kind of stuff... so far no luck, i can confirm that soshow at chongwenmen does have a lot of cool stuff, but alas no warhammer or ad&d stuff....
if anyone wants to get a game of ad&d going, let me know..

I've been looking for this stuff in Beijing as well, and after I gave up i started looking for some internet store and I found this: wargames com hk / oscommerce /
They have what you need, or can import it. Most importantly they ship to mainland in 1-2 working days, and the price is much more affordable than in any other international online-store.
If you currently play any board games OR plan to play something, what don't we make a list of those games here, and maybe we can come together some day for a nice Friday Night gaming session!

Hi Guys,
A group of friends and I have been consistently playing Warhammer 40k games. Most of us have been in Beijing for over three years and yet to have any encounter of with any Stores that sell Games Workshop products.
There are two solutions that we know of for your gaming needs:
1. Taobao.com occasionally has a guy from Shanghai that will list a wide range of product but we have yet to have purchased anything from there.
2. Hong Kong has a store, Fun Atalier, located in Wanchai, Hopewell Center that sells all your gaming need. This is where we get most of our stuff for they have everything to satisfy your gaming needs.
As for playing, we have 5-7 people playing 40k right now. Armies include Black Templar, Dark Angels, Necrons, Orks and Tau. We welcome anyone who wants to partake in our games.

There is one shop near the Drum Tower focussing on GW products. When in front of the Drum Tower you have to walk West about 200 meters or so. Exact address would be 39 GuLou DaJie.
Name of the shop is "Maelstrom" and the phone number is 15810555576. The manager told me there is a second shop around in Beijing, but to be frank I was too lazy to investigate.
Not my kind of game, seriously.

Went to Soshow yesterday, and the 6th floor does have a Warhammer shop now. I can't tell you exactly where, but it is on the edge of the shopping area. Just wander around and you should find it. It appears to have a wide variety of GW products, as well as a play area set up in the center of the store and what appears to be space to work on painting (although that might just be for the staff). Warhammer's not really my game, but this place looks good.
Also, I found that the best exit to take from the subway is Exit C, the mall is across from the New World Shopping Mall, and the 6th floor also has a lot of other related geek stuff (Gundam, anime, games, etc.), so it's good for that as well.

OCT 15TH HERO MATCH
On Saturday October 15th, the Warhammer Club Beijing invites you all to attend a special Hero Match and Dinner.
If you would like to take part, you may bring any Warhammer 40K race worth 500pts. The players will be split into two even teams. (Each player must have at least 1HQ and 2 Troops units. You may use special weapons your models do not have but this must be declared before the game). Deployment Type: Dawn of War - Table Halves (see 40k rule book)
Game length: 4 Rounds.
Army lists must be submitted before the game!!
If you don’t fancy playing, come along and give your support!
Players Admission: 50rmb/ person (Price includes souvenir, drink, winners prize)
Spectators Admission: Members 20rmb/ person, Non-Members 30rmb/ person
Meet: 10:00am
Game Time: 11:00 - 16:00
Other Activities: Presentation ceremony, Photos, Dinner (AA)
