Places around Lido on weeknights?

Can anyone recommend some bars with food around there that aren't dead during the week?

Re: Places around Lido on weeknights?

How about Goose & Duck?

It's nearby Chaoyang Park.

Some of my friends like to go to Frank's during the week. I think they have food there too

The "pig" in the 5 stars Hotel! After 8pm

show me the rules, i show you the money

Re: Places around Lido on weeknights?

Eudora Station, right opposite lido entrance (the entrance with the fountain, not the hotel side.)

Pavilion, aka Franks Place. Pass fountain turn right, end of road right again, 30 meters on left.

From the new insider's guide, there are : 2 kolegas, Black sun2, Souk, Area, ect etc etc....

Eudora Station is always a good place for weeknights dinner and drinks, always busy. Their outside seating area is great and food is surprisingly delicious with good portion.

Re: Places around Lido on weeknights?

Eudora station has some of the WORST service I have ever experienced in my life.
That's saying a lot, I've been here since 2003. I've been there several times.

Do you work there Peg?
Of course you do.

Re: Places around Lido on weeknights?

I used to go there with a group of regulars and the staff tried to rip us off and overcharge us nearly every single fucking night.

No joke.

We had to constantly remind them that it was happy hour and on more than one occasion it took more than 30 mins to serve a simple mixer.
Food was ok, but not worth all the other bullshit.
Seems to be a high staff turnover so either they keep firing their waitresses or they are using Eudora to train them and ship them off to other bars.

Anyway yeah, aside from those total deal breakers it's fine.

1 star.
lol

Shame, nice location.
I hope someone in the management is aware of the problems and is sorting out.
Personally , I'm never going back.

Re: Places around Lido on weeknights?

I've never been. The place looks nice enough, and you're right, it's in a nice location.

But I'll have to hear one or two positive comments (from people who aren't being paid to make them) before I'll go.

Frank's Place is pretty good. Happy hour from 3-8 everyday, I think. Nachos were decent.
