Just curious! I have a friend who came here a year ago and she told me that some officers at the airport open her luggage and ask her to tell them what all the stuff in her luggage are, they even ask her to taste all the spices she brought even her underware were all over the place.But anyway they still let her enter. The reason behind it cause my freind has a f visa which was issued by the chinese embassy back home but my friend only applied for a L visa which she didnt notice before the incident which i guess was a mistake of the Chinese embassy. Question are they allowed to do that and once your at the airport can they refuse u to enter even though u have a valid visa? I think if ur a suspicious they can but what if like her just a normal girl from NZ?

I have to ask, where do you find these articles? Because you really are over the place in terms of news - most people just browse, cnn, foxnews, ft, wsj, bbc - but you're finding local cbs news station news.

If you use news.google.com, you can see news collected from all the random big and small news sites on the Internet. And a neat feature is that you can set it to do specialized searches for news on subjects of your choice. For example, villageidiot has it set up to do searches for "hate myself", "amerikkka", "white boys chinese girls", "racist wankjob", and "contrarian indicator" (the last one was following a suggestion from his bj-buddy, diaozi).

Have you ever seen them bring suspects privately behind the white wall? That's where they make them bend over and cough hard so they can check in the crevices. They can always explain it's part of national security and depending on national law they don't always have to give a reason for it. It's just national security.

She brought spices??? Well, than this is rather obvious! First, you are not supposed to bring in plants or plant parts. Then it is difficult to know everything about all the little white powders you'll see on the screen. No wonder they want to make sure if all of this is really just plain vanilla or somthing you could sniff. And of course, if you bring your spices in your pants, they'll have you take them off!
