Entertaining battle

doesnt show off the scope though...there may be several battles like this happening at any time throughout the huge maps.....he coulda just zoomed out, ah well

ok...some reviewers are saying that its not really an RTS...that its actually a real-time 4x game......whatever.....that still makes it an RTS.

there isn't much micro micromanagement required as the AI does a decent job...and ship position doesn't have a huge impact compared to your tech and ship choices but you can get into micromanagement if you want, and I frequently end up doing that as the battles are so enjoyable to watch up close.

The only geography based strategy in it so far seems to be planet based....where you put your outposts...which planet will be your capital etc.....this is mostly accomplished through the fact that there are specific routes you must take to get to any planet....you cant just go anywhere from anywhere.....which is good cause it would be impossible to fortify a position if you could.

Anyway....its a quick download as its a new torrent....its also amazingly small....less than a gig, which stands as one of the many testaments to its great design.
