Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Sounds interesting. I could use something like that at work.

They're really frozen and frozen well? Not frozen/half unfrozen then refrozen?

Can you guarantee they were prepared under sanitary conditions?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm genuinely interested because I live in the Chaoyang Park area and I'm silly for Mexican Food.

Thanks.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Theyre not flash frozen, but wrapped and immediately frozen at -21 C. Everything is prepared according to strict FDA code and HAACP regulations.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Sweet.

What I'd like to do is pick them up in the evening, keep them in my freezer overnight and bring them to heat up at work for lunch.

You mind posting the prices?

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Retail is 18 元. Enjoy!

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Cheap!

If it's delicious and I'm not stricken with la duzi the first time, I can definitely whore your burritos out at an inflated price to my colleagues.

It's only fair since I'd be transporting them.

Good luck.

I suppose sour cream, for an extra fee of course, would be too much to ask?

Hard to keep fresh?

I like the idea, there's absolutely nothing wrong with frozen food if it's well prepared, not 7-11 style mass produced.

I used to freeze lasagna and home-made perogies back home all the time.

It's a good business idea, what you're doing at the moment.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Thank you! We will offer sour cream soon for 2-3 元 extra. They're not bad though just with the fresh salsa and Mexican hot sauce.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

hello.

I was at the place next to jenny lous west gate the other day and stumbled upon your product.

I bought 4 of them to keep in my freezer and keep my hungry, whiny boyfriend quiet when I didnt feel like cooking. I bought one of each kind, beef and beans, beef and rice, chicken and beans, chicken and rice.

sorry but I tried 2 of them and was not impressed. I fully support your concept, reasonably priced microwave burritos... brilliant. Something everyone should have on hand.

I do have to say though that the photo is deceptive, there are no tomatoes lettuce or avocado in them. The beef (steak) was full of gristle and the tortillas were too dry and the tortilla:filling ratio was way off.

this is my honest opinion after giving your products a very good chance, i microwaved the first batch then put the second batch in the oven. I hope you can work on the product a bit.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

actually, the picture looks like an ersatz burrito....if mexico went to war with Guatemala, and they had to ration flavor, homes....
tell the truth....Cali has the best mexican food, even better than mexico, hermano.

The whole burrito problem can be solved by buying frozen burritos and flautas at Costco in LA , and flying them in in freezer paks by the 1000 kilo load....sell them for 25 rmb each and make a big profit.

I already worked it out..but it can't be done in cherry season.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

ah...

one more thing...

I just googled the word "burrito" and the first image which came up was the one you use for your advertising.

I guess that explains why it doesn't look anything like the picture.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

I just googled the word 'pwned', and these are two of the first images that came up

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

I realize that you work for the rickshaw/saddle and feel a need to criticize our burritos because you sell burritos also. OK But we aren't competitors. The picture looks good and represents well. I'm sorry if you figured you would get lettuce and guacamole in your frozen burrito. Haagen Daaz's ice cream ads are made with vegetable shortening. We've sold hundreds and the response has been good. We don't cut corners, the product is consistent and basically damn good for a frozen burrito for a very fair price. One suggestion, don't put it in the microwave too long.

By the way, why did you take down your saddle av before posting on this thread? This is a rhetorical question.

score one point for tommy

subtract one big point for tommy

the photo you posted clearly has lettuce tomato and guacamole in it.

err... not

Tommy Guns wrote:

Sorry doesn't cut it. I repeat, the photo you posted clearly has lettuce tomato and guacamole in it.

In the real world, that's advertising fraud. There's laws against it here and in more developed countries.

I know you're a small business and operating in a relatively loosely regulated environment.

But by putting up a fake picture, you've sent one or more of the following messages to your potential consumers:

1. The real product is so visually unappetizing you dare not post a real pic

2. You can't be bothered to spent the time it would take to have a decent picture taken of your product, which means you probably cut corners in other ways as well.

3. You're just kind of into bending the truth and don't mind to do so for the sake of a buck, and therefore your statement:

Tommy Guns wrote:

is probably b.s. as well.

You should be more careful, really. Think.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Ok. Better still be some there tonight.....now I want to try one

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

I have tried these burritos, not bad, not bad. You used to have a position next to Kai and Butterfly in the summer if memory serves. A little soggy but I could think of alot worse things to eat for that price.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

This is funny - TG, you should have just stated what was in your burritos, the price and left it at that. Not a good idea to post pictures that you find online via google.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

Sorry Tommy,

As I said, I really wanted to like your product, having burritos in the freezer is very handy, Im sure most people who read what I wrote can tell that I am not coming here to "slander" you as you stated in the PM but that i was giving a very honest opinon.

we are not competition, your product is one for the home ours is a drinking and dining establishment.

No need to be silly about this, you put yourself here on the forum open for discussion. I do the same thing every day and the places I work for have come undr a lot of critisizm as well, its something we have to deal with as business people.

If I loved the 4 burritos I bought I would have posted on here about how wonderful they are.

Goodluck with your business, let this critque be something to work with rather than dishearten you.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

yeah, I think at this stage its gone a bit silly.

We all know what a burrito looks like, lets wait for some more reviews.

Re: Gourmet Frozen Burritos

No no no no no!

We need a visual on the guts of the burrito.

It's crucial.

It's a delicate balance on the dispersement of the fillings.
