I see a lot of riders using the squeak feature to their advantage as a convenient horn. Great for alerting the pedestrian just before running him down, anyway.
Regular bikes' brakes also squeak, if you can find someone using them.
There seems to be an epidemic of improperly adjusted brakes, they are just not tight enough.
