Hi, wanted to buy a tripot (without head) at wukesesong, any good and cheap model somebody could advice me ?
Does anybody know a place other then wukesong in the east of beijing where I can get a good tripot, wukesong is always so far!
It would be good if you could specify what kind of camera you are using.
If it is a light (weight) P&S camera, I would suggest you have a look in some of the markets like Yashow in Gontibeilu or similar, ive seen Alu pods in there that looked pretty good.
However, if it is a heavier SLR camera, I strongly recommend you to find a good and sturdy pod.
Benro tripods are made here in China, I have one and would say it is pretty good quality compared to the more expensive Manfrotto or other US products.
The carbon tripod and ballhead I bought easily hold my pro SLR and a long lens (1D plus a 400mm lens) solid and sturdy
Wukesong for sure have the biggest selection without a doubt
I know of only one other dedicated camera store, which is the Ray in Soho
They are a bit more expensive, but you avoid the 1 hour taxi drive to/from Wukesong....
