oh what a coincidence!i just saw havaianas in joy city, which is located near xidan (西单）.
joy city is a big shopping mall, its called "da yue cheng"（大悦城）in chinese.
its not very expensive either, you have to go visit sometime.

i'll be going to brazil in july, but coming back before august starts. do you guys have any idea if any store or anyone would be interested in buying a bunch of havaianas? i'll be coming with empty bags...

There is a store at the 8 Gate Mall in Haidian that sells Havainas as well as Uggs. I didn't get a good look at the price, but they are definitely there.
