Horses are unpredictable animals which take lots of care.

I like motorbikes much better.

Sometimes the same is different, but mostly, it's the same.

A story. In the middle 80's I became divorced so i met up with this young beautiful girl from Somalia. She lived in Pennsylvania and worked on a horse farm. I fell in love with her so I moved to PA and started working at said horse farm. We saved our money together and would buy broken down standard bred race horses and work with them until they were ready to race again and recoup our investment. Along the way we would buy quarter horses and walking horses that no one else seemed to want and groom them back into condition and sell them again. i have known how to ride horses since i was a young child but my riding truly took off once I met this lady from Somalia. She and I made a tidy sum together but the relationship did not last because I was much older than she and she had things to do that i was not interested in so we are both happy. Today because of our encounter we are both wealthier because of our business enterprise together. EPILOGUE we have remained friends and she still rides horses much better than I do but I learned from her. How boring. I truly hope no one slits their wrists over this story.

Zhiqing was this divorce the barmaid?

And was this the same story/era as the "most profitable thing you've ever done" thread?

You seem to have a life long association with horses.

This was the divorce to the barmaid and before the marriage to the french woman. This is the same story as the most profitable thing i have ever done. I really wish I could have been like David Bowie and married the Somalia girl.

Thank you for sharing this story and it seems really unforgetable..
I believe when people stay at horse farm, the spirit gets relaxed and it is quite easy to have a feeling to someone.Further more, I think people who can ride are very attractive both in body and personality.I really hope that I could marry a rider and be his groom, leading a simple life.

Oh Ned she was the one and the hardship is that we are still friends. She is a successful real estate agent in Wisconsin and I can see her all over the web and it makes me go goo goo remembering the romance the two of us shared. But alas I was 32 and she was 18. I promised her she would be a virgin until the day we married and we were together 2 years and she departed me a virgin. I am so glad i did not deflower her and I regret so much not taking the advantages I had to do it when I could have. What a quandary. Oh well, we all can't be Homer and Marge or Ned and Maude and life happily ever after with the one we truly love. SIGH!!

Married and divorced. I would never do anything to hurt the beautiful, wonderful lady to whom I am married to now. She is my salvation and my joy. My Somali girl will always live in my fantasies and that is ok. She and I still talk but we talk about how we can be good to one another in our present state. Once i was homeless in NYC and she helped me with 67 dollars to get back on my feet and that 67 dollars was the difference it took for me to be successful again. She will always be in my life and I will always respect her and wish her the best but we are worlds apart and have different attitudes now and I will always adore her.
