Where in Beijing can I find a nice western-style straw hat? Something like a classic panama would be nice, but a good old-fashioned tourist-trap-branded straw fedora would do the trick.

I would have brought one with me, but other times I've been here I had no trouble finding one, even considering the size of my laowai head. This time they're not to be found.

There's the leather hats, of the right shape and size, but, you know, leather. There's the conical peasant hats which are widely available, very utilitarian and most definitely straw, but which are a bit too fashion-forward for everyday wear.

The most frustrating thing is I *know* they must be here, China exports tons of the things. I'm just somehow missing them.
