Handyman?

Can anyone give me the number of a handyman who can fix basic stuff around the house? My property management company are beyond useless and I'd prefer to organise something myself. Also, if you could let me know roughly what the hourly rate is that'd be great.

At my previous place I got so fed up with the incompetent management company and the morons they'd plucked off a hay truck to fix things that I usually just fixed things myself. Nothing like having to instruct an electrician who shows up at your door on how to actually fix the wiring in your apartment. LOL

I tried the handyman route, but confidence is not something they install. I made friends with the old lady at my local hardware vendor, she always gives me a great price, sometimes things for free. I do the work myself and am much happier now. Most household repairs are within the average person's ability.

This is a bit late, but great for future references since the Beijinger doesn't have a "services" category. We use Mr. Zhang for repairs big and small. He's honest, comes recommended, and has reasonable rates. He specializes in renovations, but he's always come to our rescue. His only shortcoming is he doesn't speak a lot of English.
