try business networking events, most people there are all professionals, with decent jobs. but remember most of them go there for business, u still have opportunies to meet someone u like, then take it from there

I do however get bored of talking about real estate investments; different types of wine/soda drinks; fashion; sports and the Chinese service industry.

ya so you can go to Mix or Vics or Susie Wong to meet chicks there. Most of them are at lease high school educated (or finishing their 自考 degree--might be more educated through your eyes??), and have an 9-5 office job. they are not boring at all at lease they can accurately tell ya Brad Pitt's birthday, which bar is the best place to hook up with hot or rich dudes, or where to buy the best fake LV handbags, fake Vitoria Secret thong....

You do need a well-educated woman, because unless you are talking about women who are willing to go down on you; you can't even spell "decent". And don't say it was a typo because you've had plenty of time to correct it, but instead you've spelled it wrong at least twice.

I will have to take an extra post in this happy thread to point out that The Incredible Egg and Ghostwriter is the same person.
There is a story about why that is, but it's not an exciting story at all. You're all however free to speculate, theorize, randomly conclude or why not correct a misspelling or two?
I do however wish to point out that it's not an attempt to create somekind of two-man ghost army. Vicious attacks from people like SXD would take an entire phalanx. I simply don't have enough time/energy/E-d*** to gather up an entire army of alternate thebeijingerdotcom accounts to counter-attack ruthless internetposters like SXD.
It's not an outcome of my split personality either. I don't have enough time/energy/personalities to muster up extra internet accounts to fully represent the whole spectrum of my Ego.

Descent women work a lot and have busy schedules so I think those networking events are a good place to meet descent people. I heard the "business" aspect is just a cover up
A friend who manages events for British Chamber told me a lot of women approach her asking who is single. And since people are busy they want to condensed dating like speed dating or that Dinner for 6. Those are good places to meet quality, out-going people.
