My Visa expires on Sunday and I was planing on going to the Andingmen PSB on saturday, does anybody know if it is open then or maybe I should go Friday?
As best I recollect the Entry-Exit Office is open on Saturdays, with more limited hours (maybe 10 to 4, with lunch break?). I am fairly sure it is not open on Sundays.

I'm confused. Jordean's response is to the Entry-Exit Office hours, which makes sense because you speak of your visa expiring, but the OP speaks of the PSB in Andingmen, which obviously is not the Entry-Exit Office.
PSBs are open on Saturday and Sunday. They can't, however, get you a visa.
As far as I'm aware the exit/entry division is part of the PSB, and the opening hours I quoted are the ones of the exit/entry division near the Lama Temple, on Andingmen Dongdajie.
Gooldenwedding is absolutely right - the PSB office is not the place which will extend your visa.
The Entry-Exit Bureau is part of the PSB, hence the confusion.
I am sure he refers to the Exit-Entry Bureau near Yonghegong, which is open on Saturdays.
Thanks for replies, guess I had my terminology wrong, I need the entry and exit for a visa extension I guess, PSB is where you go for the temp permit right.

Sounds right to me: entry/exit for visas, PSB for temporary residence permits.

Is there a pai chu suo on Andingmen too? Aren't the locals usually open seven days a week (maybe not the registration desk though)?

Exit and Entry Division of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau is the place that you can extend the visas.
It is near Yonghegong (Lama Temple).
Public Security Bureau (abbr. PSB, Gonganju in Chinese pinyin)
Exit and Entry Division is only one of the departments of PSB, since PSB is responsible for public seurity, traffic, vehicle management, firefighting, ID cards issue and etc.
Police stations (pai chu suo in Chinese pinyin) are the basic-level authorities who deal with public security, permanent and temporary residents in its own administrative areas. There are hundreds of police stations in Beijing only. It is there that you can get registration forms of temporary residence.
Guess I didn't have my terminology wrong, I went today but nice to know it is open Saturdays, had mean looking grumpy woman serving me, feared for the visa at first but she said nothing and just stamped. Beijingleo, I will speak to you in about 1 week (20 days or so left on L visa at that time) about an F. Has your price come down yet for I think 6k last I heard last

Re: PSB Open Saturday?
Ok. I guess I was associating Andingmen with the area right around the subway stop by that name, which probably does have its own PSB.
