Bike With Trailer

Hello! We are students living here in Beijing until July. Day by day we're becoming more and more convinced that some kind of bike with a trailer (motorized or pedal-powered) would add some much needed adventure to our daily lives. I'm not sure how much of a pipe dream this is, having not fully inspected the practicalities of buying/securing/maintaining/riding such a contraption.

There are 3-wheeled bikes with one seat on the back that look more motorized but are possibly electric. Could someone please give me some kind of idea of the licensing in China? How close to a motorbike does a bike have to become before you need a licence.

Any idea of a price range? Your experience with any type of bike would be appreciated.

Any idea where we might find one? Would they have them at bike markets in Beijing?

Do you think it should stay a pipe dream? Any information would be good either way.

Thank you!
