I've bought around 8 pairs of glasses there. Lol. They have every shape - Wayfarers, Giant Circle style, Aviators, Shutters and all the normal styles. After I buy them, I take them to a reputable eyeglass shop to have the plastic lens replaced to prescription lens.

A pair of eyeglasses should cost you RMB 15 only, a pair of sunglasses is RMB 20. Don't be overcharged. The prescription lens change are roughly RMB 190 - 240, this comes with a free case and unlimited free cleaning and service in the future.

Just keep in mind that none of these "Ray-ban" glasses or other brands in the markets are real. They're all fake.

Beijing Glasses City is the place I would recommend. Hassle free shopping, a massive selection of only eye glasses, not some crappy market which has clothes and eyeglasses. They can make your own prescription lenses for with the frames for about 60RMB. There are a lot of harry potter style specs in there, i tried some on, on the third floor, but almost every single shop will have them. If they are plastic frames, definatley attempt to pay way less than 100 RMB, the plastic frames are the cheapest. And if they dont quote you a good price, do the walking away trick, they will evenetually give in! Enjoy!
