I'm looking for some advice about product registrations and import licenses. Maybe someone has done what I need to do before, or can recommend an agent or company that can do what I need.

This relates to one product, a chemical that is used on farms. This product needs to be registered with the Agriculture department, and they give out the import license too.

Currently the product is registered in China to Company A. Company A has a valid import license, and imports this with no problems every day, in large volumes.

What I need to do is simply transfer the product registration to company B and get a new import license.

The problem is that the transfer and the import license process can take up to 4 months, and in that time the product cannot be imported on the old license - or so I am told anyway.

I need to get the transfers done but still be able to import every day during this transfer process - or at the least really minimise the amount of time we cannot import.

I'm thinkning there must be an express service, or a loophole or something - and there must be some lawyer or agent in Beijing that can sort this out for me.

Anyone got any experience with this, any advice or contacts?
