I’m not American but I believe that business people from that country are usually very professional. It seems that some laowai behave very badly when they come to China which is not only unpleasant for the victims such as yourself but gives their whole country a bad name.

I think you should move on quickly from this unpleasant incident. Another poster said your English is very good and that’s true. I’m sure you can find some decent, non-disgusting foreign friends who would be happy to chat with you and help your English. In the bars and clubs of Sanlitun you are quite likely to meet the WRONG sort of person but there are some very cool cafes and bookshops around the place. You really need to do one of two things.

1)Just ignore him.
2)Send him an email saying that clearly there has been a misunderstanding and you have no interest in a personal relationship of any kind with him.

3)After taking care of problem like a real woman, keep it to yourself or talk to your close friends about it and laugh but for f***s sake (FFS), don't post this on an internet forum and expect people to pat you on the back for reacting in a manner that real women would have reacted in unless you're the slut he assumes you to be because many Chinese women are letting stuff like this happen at English schools and find English teachers just because they assume foreigners are 随便 compared to what their Chinese counterparts have been brainwashed to believe.
