my minimum is 15rmb(lunch+subway)
but i feel 30 rmb(lunch, subway+snacks etc) is a normal human's life for living in beijing

you laowais spend more right???how much?!? Silly

Lunch usually runs me about 10 yuan. That's for a small steak and 2 eggs.

The bare minimum is about RMB20, although a more realistic minimum is RMB30. Once I spent nothing. Weekdays average RMB50ish, weekends RMB150-200. I've cut down a lot on my spending since I first arrived - I used to spend something like RMB200/day.

burntbread, stories like that make me depressed. And that on top of today's shitty weather makes me want to jump off my balcony.

RMB68 for a handjob? Is that how much those hair salons cost? A guy I work with told me you can get a f*** in Langfang with girls that are "as cute as a button" for RMB100. He's old and his standards are no doubt low, so there is cause to doubt the veracity of that.

A shithole satellite town of BJ in Hebei, 45 minutes along the expressway to Tianjin. The new high-speed train to Tianjin also stops there.

I dunno, it's just kinda crap. Apparently the central government has big plans for its development, tho...I guess it will eventually be swallowed up by greater BJ.

In average 30-40 a day, plus I need to pay rent for the flat I live here and also I need to go out and buy stuff and travel around cities.

i read some where,well someone read it to me cause i cant read.
it said,you can buy a wife for 5-6000 rmb. now if your like me and want one every night this could be a practical solution. if they start to get demanding sell her and buy another.they can cook clean ,do laundry,shoping and if you need some extra cash,you can rent her out part time.I should get a couple of them now that i think of it.ofcourse for my friends on the threads 10% discount. just tell them you know me.you can have your choice of diseases at no extra charge.

I spend 100 to 200rmb a day on food, and about 5 to 31rmb on EVERYTHING else.

oh ,how much do i spend.probably way to much.i have not worked in years,outside of helping some friends out here and there.
gets boring sometimes,so I AM GOING TO GET A JOB ONE DAY.or maybe a bbq. shack.some kind of company.shoveling dirt would probably be easier,thinking gives me a headache.

Workdays:
Lunch - 0. Eat food prepared by ayi employed by office.
Dinner - between 6 kuai (la mian) to 10kuai (local chinese restaurant for a gaifan); occasionally 30 kuai (McD/KFC) or about 70 (pizza).

If going out with the missus
Transport:
Metro 4kuai
Taxi 90-100 kuai
Dinner 200-300
