Do you live around here? Whether you do or not, what are some places you know of, be it restaurants, pubs, department stores, markets, big parks that might be of use and interest to expats.
(And thanks in advance to the sarcastic MFSOB who have nothing better to do, than to tell me to buy a map or google it or get out and explore)

By the way, there's this Japanese department store across the Badaling Expressway. Really nice Japanese fast food joints and brands I haven't seen anywhere else in Beijing. Even has its own Japanese supermarket, Jesco. All Japanese snacks and goodies.

Can you give me more information about where this japanese supermarket is? i live near hui long guan/li shui qiao area and would love to find a good, well-stocked japanese supermarket around here.

Well, I realize it's been a while and you have probably discovered the place by now but here's just in case.
Go north on Badaling and turn right at Beiqing Lu. I think it's the second intersection after Huilongguan. Right now, you'll notice a newly-built elevated train line(Ming Tombs/ Changping line)right next to the department store. The store is called AEON. The supermarket is called Jesco. It's got the freshest veggies, fruit and a great selection of processed meat and cheese(so far away from Jenny Lou's and April Gourmet!), and cheap fresh sushi.
Huilongguan to AEON in a cab will cost you around 15 kuai. Black cabs will take you for 15 to 20. A return cab ride(black) will sometimes cost you 25, depending on weather, time and availability.
There are some 'AEON' buses taking people to the main streets in Huilongguan but I never bothered.
