I wouldn't trust any company that quotes you less than 4000. It was a struggle for me just to get mine down to 4,500 from an L to F. (This was about 10 days ago). I don't know how much it is for Brits, but for Americans the fee from the government is something like 960. So there's no way that an agency would get you a visa for 600 kuai!

Whoever quoted you 4,000 I would take it and run! I searched a good 2 or 3 weeks to find 4,500

If you go to PSB you will be charged with the same amount of money regardless of national day or so called deadline for this or that. government fees never change a cent, it is not more difficult for a period compared to another. So where goes the prce gap?? It is just agency trick and it is called speculation!!!
