L to F visa in Beijing Help please!

Hey, I'm writing to see if anyone (who isn't just trying to make money) has some advice on the cheapest (but safe) way to change my L visa to an F visa...
I've contacted various visa services and they have all quoted me about 4000-5000 for a 6 month F visa... This seems like a lot of money to me...
I saw one 'ad on this website and rang the people, they quoted me 1600 but their office is in Shanghai, I don't know the company so obviously struggle to send my passport off...
If anyone has any advice then I'd be really grateful, i really need to sort this one out.
I'm a British passport holder by the way...
Thanks everyone...

Re: L to F visa in Beijing Help please!

I wouldn't trust any company that quotes you less than 4000. It was a struggle for me just to get mine down to 4,500 from an L to F. (This was about 10 days ago). I don't know how much it is for Brits, but for Americans the fee from the government is something like 960. So there's no way that an agency would get you a visa for 600 kuai!

Whoever quoted you 4,000 I would take it and run! I searched a good 2 or 3 weeks to find 4,500 At Wits End

Good luck!

Re: L to F visa in Beijing Help please!

What was the name of the company that you used? Would you use them again or would you want to find a new company the next time you needed a similar service?

Thanks in advance!

Re: L to F visa in Beijing Help please!

Yeah, the latest info i have (from about a week and a half ago) is:

You can get L to F in Beijing, but the catch is, its only good until September. You can't get a 6 month visa in Beijing. However, 0,1,or 2 entry are all the same price.

Prices:
Traderslink: 4540

Leeo: (strange spelling) 4640

Leeo also offers the Qingdao option:

its 3500 plus transportation so at the end you save about 600rmb. It does last 6 months. But I think the price is for an American on zero entry only. If you're a different nationality or you want entry, the price will change. Also, the price might change anyways, so give him a call to see the latest prices. I don't have the number offhand but search "leeo" on the site, and u should find the #

Re: L to F visa in Beijing Help please!

Policy change ..price change...How can it be? If you go to PSB you will be charged with the same amount of money regardless of national day or so called deadline for this or that. government fees never change a cent, it is not more difficult for a period compared to another. So where goes the prce gap?? It is just agency trick and it is called speculation!!!
