Hi there, I wonder how can a nice laowai get a decent guy here. It seems laowai guys clearly prefer sweet-easy-hoping for marriage chinese girls, while they look at us (laowai girls) like independent-difficult-unsexy women... WHY? We also need dates, sex and if it's possible, interesting conversation!! WE ARE PEOPLE TOO! Crying

haha, it's pretty true but not across the board that the laowai men are looking for Chinese chicks and the Chinese men are scared of Laowai women.

But not true of all of them. Keep looking. This is only your first post, try several or try the classifieds ads.
All the foreign women I hang out with have a man "back home". So I am not sure what the single and available ones do.

Well, I know some guys that tried several chinese and after a while they got bored, overwhelmed by marriage proposals or both, but still they keep looking for chinese girls.
I have nothing against chinese chicks but it is annoying to hear from guys how much they want someone with personal views on things, funny conversation, active attitude in bed and some kind of personality. Well, we are here, and quite visible compared to the average chinese...
Regarding chinese men... they seem to come from another planet to me...

Well, that's really a BIG implication, I guess, but it is certainly what usually guys say about chinese girls, obviously in general.. and the few I know are sweet, easy and wanting marriage, as I said.
Not that all the laowais (including me) have very strong personality, but culturally we are different, can't deny it. What I imply of the "chinese fever" is that these differences makes us (laowais) worse, and I don't really understand.

Regarding chinese men... they seem to come from another planet to me...

Well, it feels logical that the guys who are in China would be in China to meet Chinese people. There is not much else that attracts in terms of social benefits or standard of living. But as others have said, there are those who want western girls. I certainly prefer active girls with many interests and strong personalities.
