Nuh, didn't go up there. I'm willing to take your word that it's great. Beyond that, however...nothing out of the ordinary. Anyway, the guy wants to watch sport. If that's his principal concern, then the roof terrace doesn't factor that highly...

It's one of those points that stupid old pommy windbags make at any opportunity. You know the type - everyone would prefer to ignore them, but they're so bloody noisy.
Anyway, the game's called soccer where I come from. Call it what you like. However, as a helpful guide, I believe FIFA has decreed its proper name to be Association Football.

I think you just character referenced me in a nutshell. Any football follower from the UK would say the same. Or at least pull off a silly American accent and shout: "SWAARRRRKER".
Association Football it is.

A convict calling Brits noisy? That's a bit rich.
Socceroos my arse.
We invented the bastard game, we name it. Just cos the f-ing seppos changed it, you have to follow them? In every great footballing nation in the world, it is called football.
While we're at it, pom, or pohm, as in Prisoners of Her Majesty? Lol, you're the f-ing prisoners mate!

Hey, that was centuries ago! Let's talk about present tense. For a start, I wouldn't be knocking penal colonies if I were you, Brit - you'll be needing another one soon to dump all your disaffected yooves on before they slit all your throats! It's a quality brood you guys have raised there...
"Great footballing nations" - meh. Europe and South America. World game, my arse. Soccer it is.

Re: Best bar to watch to soccer tonight?
The Den is a shithole with rude staff and Mongolian hookers.
Trashy place, crappy old furniture, small drinks.
Try Frank's Place or The Goose and Duck.

How is Paddy O'Shea's doing recently? I haven't been there for a while.
Frank's place is always a safe bet, I used to love the old Goose but the new one just doesn't cut it for me.

Danger doyle is definitely showing it, so is the stumble inn!

And Africa.
Between those 3 continents, I think you'll find a fairly large number of countries. Certainly most of the world.
We'll just send the chavs over to you again. There's plenty of room.
