Living on a reasonable expat lifestyle,i budget to spend within RMB150 per day. still kept well within up to now... Big Grin

How about local chinese? Anyone care to share ?

i spend about 6000rmb per day usually. i hire a taxi to drie across beijing and back just for fun (and don't even ride in the car), i buy lobster and leave it in the fridge for 10 days and then throw it away, i go to the most expensive shops in beijing and say "10% off? how about 10% ON!" and sometimes i use my money as toilet paper just for the hell of it, hey why not? i am totally not frugal! was that what you wanted to hear OP?

Ones expenses depends on the day and time.
Eg: What you spend at the month end may be different from what you spend on mid month. AT the month end, you'd have to pay ur house rent, buy food for house, get few cloths, pay Utility & gas and ofcourse send some cash home for tax bla bla ---
But some times in the mid month, you'll only go out with ur transist card and few cash for lunch.
but if you ask average of how much I spend per month -- should be about 266rmb per day --
So what do you wanna achieve,,..

If you're for me you'll wait for me... No matter how I am ...

In terms of average daily wallet spend, I'm hoping for RMB 6 for transport, and around RMB 30-40 or food.

So probably <50. Then you have to factor in weekly or fortnight supermarket sessions to buy the essentials.

If I drink in China bars like I do here in the UK, then I'll be broke. So I'm giving the booze a break when I'm there. I don't buy my own clothes, my sister/mother/GF throw them at me and I'm pretty low maintenance.

Has to choose between Shanghai and Beijing. Decisions decisions and indecisiveness.

- Rent for the apartment - 10,000
- Phone fee - 500 (cell and fixed one)
- Internet fee - 180
- Water - 40
- Gas - 20
- Electricity - 80
- Cable TV - 75
- Food - 1800
- Drinking (a lot)
- Going out for having food - 2500
- Clothes - 1000
- Thingis, which in normal live, I would never buy. - average 2000
- Traveling - private - 2000
- Girls....?????

= 675 RMB/day plus drinking plus girls.....

Considering, that there is real no need for the blue pills at all, and drinking is only once a week, the average damage in an average month per day, will be 1025 RMB/day....
