Does anyone know what the situation in Beijing is with Eastern European spirits?
I am attempting to find Hungarian Unicum and Palinka, and Serbian Sljivovica (Slivovitz). Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Beijing or Tianjin selling these? Since even Taobao has no listings for 乌尼昆药酒 am I just out of luck?

I suggest you ask at the Hungarian restaurant in China view, and maybe the Serbian guy who owns/runs Kiosk.
Failing that, ask the Hungarian and Serbian embassies where to find imported products from their countries. Make sure you check their websites first.
I've been looking for Zwack, but I haven't found anything like it here.

I guess you may also be looking for Slovak, Czech or Croatian Slivovica (even AFAIK the Austrians produce such booze), but I do not give much chance it is available in these lands. But if you find one, surely let me know!

Anyway Jenny Lou's sells Italian Grappa, so at least one of the alcohol reminding south and central european naturally made fruit spirits.

I am looking for Imitation vanilla extract (is much cheaper than genuine vanilla extract, and just as good).

You can make an easy vanilla extract at home. You just need whole vanilla pods and vodka.
