what is your nationality? The fee is different for different country. For most countries, it is
RMB160.

At the police station the payment depends on your nationality.
Different nationality pay the different government fee.

yes ,there are deffirence , but most is 160yuan.

My L visa is valid for 1 year, multiple entry, 4 months each stay. It's close to the expiration date. Can I still extend it?

A few years ago I know that you could extend L visa 2 times, but those were short-term visas and it was a LONG time ago.

It's better to be nice, kind, generous, friendly, helpful, sexy and rich than to be obnoxious, scary, stinky, stingy, lonely and poor.

If it is a multiple entry visa or there is some entry left, just exit and re-enter before ENTER BEFORE date to re-activate another 120 days.

Or you can extend it twice, 30 days for each time. It is different from what you did before. Now a Chinese bank deposit certificate is required, i.e. 3000 USD or an equivalent in other currency in a bank located in China.

BTW, where did you get this marvelous 120-day for each stay L visa?

Every foreigner just can do 2 times L extension, and one month per stay in China.

Most is 160rmb, but different country have different fee,like USA it will cost 940rmb in police station.

That's all to say, different prices depends on differnt nationality in which most of them are 160 for 1 month tourist visa extension. The different price group is minority~

I will do that, but preferably I need to stay in China until February/March

Wha..? I need to put 3000USD in a Chinese bank account in order to extend my tourist visa for 1 month? Why? And paying $140 for it (I'm American) is a "bit" expensive.

I got it in New York one year ago. At first they didn't want to give me any visas (during the Olympics you had to have a return ticket and a hotel reservation) but I used my shizo-charm and after talking to them in Chinese they gave me a 1 year multiple entry tourist visa, hehe.
