If the existing visa is work visa, you need to move your existing visa from old passport to new passport; while if the existing visa is L or F, you need not to do so.

Hi,
If you hold existing visa is work visa:
1>If your Entry Stamp on old passport, you need to move it to new passport in ten days.
2>if your Entry Stamp on new passport,you do not needed to move it.
If you hold existing visa is L visa or F visa.
you do not needed to move it .

hi, it is depend on your visa's type .
if it is the f visa , just show your old possort when you extend it ,and then you will get a new visa on your new passort .
but if you are work visa holder, you need get a new visa onyour new passsort in 10days .or you will get pulishment.

If you will go out of China with both passports and your visa is still on old passport, make sure stamp on the new passport when ur back China through customs.

And besides, i don't he will be needing any kind of Chinese visa for a very long time.
