So I've moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week after with living in Beijing with her for 3 years. She is finishing up her drivers' training class. She needs 2 more weeks. She has her visa to come here. Will she take that final step and get on the airplane to follow me here?

I figure that's a pretty decisive step. If she doesn't, she's still hesitating. If she does, then wtf are you worried about? You have any reason to be so insecure about this relationship?

The plane ticket is not a problem. I'll just use my Air China mileage. It's just that I am a realist. People are often not what they appear to be even after many years.

99 per cent of Chinese girls want to go to the States,not Malaysia,and anyways,there is racism towards Chinese there.

Mac, you'll know for sure when she passes some point of no return. Buying a plane ticket is one way. Moving out of her apartment is another way. Quitting her job. Whatever - things that would make it really hard for her to change her mind at the last minute, these show that she has made her decision. You're only allowed to be insecure if she refuses to make any leap with that sort of finality.

Well, she picked up her drvier's licence today and ask me to buy the ticket. She's had her visa for a couple of weeks.
btw, we've been living togther for 2 years, 8 months. We moved out of the apartment 2 weeks ago, when I moved to KL. She's been staying with friends in Beijing while she finished up her driver's training.
Why have I been so insecure about this? I've just heard so many horror stories about Chinese women dumping their foriegn boyfriends when the guy has to leave country.
Well, I'll update all of you this time tomorrow. She is scheduled to land in KL at 3:15pm.

She landed in KL last week Wednesday. We've been pretty busy searching for and finding an apratment, sightseeing, driving to the beach and the mountains and trying to find a good Chinese place to eat.

6 months now. We are still here in KL. She has finals next week. We'll get back to Beijing for a vacation in May. I can't wait!!! Trying my damnest to find a job back in Beijing.

We are a happy couple. Thanks for noticing that.
I had asked her to follow me to Malaysia back in April of last year but it took her almost 2 months to commit to me that she would in fact come with me. Her ties to China, family and friends were strong as was her love for me. Which of the ties were the strongest was unknown at that time. It took her along time to search her soul but she finally found the answer. Follow me.
Until she actual got off the plane in Malaysia I was never really sure that she would follow me.
We are here now. And happily in love.
