I have taken beginners Kendo classes at Renshinkan dojos here in Beijing - the teachers are nice, although they don't really explain everything as much as one would want as the classes are quite big. But check them out. There were aikido classes at Hero Club at Gongti where I did some Muaythai but I hear the place has closed down now. Can't help you on the Karate I'm afraid.
Best of luck and let us know how you get on - the more information we all have, then all the better!
