Taxi from Guomao to Tianjin Airport - rmb300 OK?

I have a flight departing Tianjin airport early in the morning and would prefer to take a taxi from my apartment near Guomao to Tianjin airport. I understand the airport is about 110km away from Guamao, so less than a two hour drive.
(1) Do you think rmb300 for a taxi ride is a fair price?
(2) Do you know anyone with a car or a taxi driver willing to make the trip for that price?
Assistance and feedback greatly appreciated.

my friends paid 450 recently, but you can probably find a driver to do it for 300.
their flight was at 9am, they left beijing at 4am, and arrived in tianjin at 12:30pm, totally missing their flight because there was fog on the highway, which apparently happens sometimes, especially in the morning. they ended up spending the night in the airport til the next morning's flight, so i wouldn't recommend taking the risk personally unless the weather report is totally clear. just get the last train and get a hotel room near the airport, it will be cheaper and safer.
Trust me, it's so danger.

You know there is a super fast train to Tianjin right?
Takes about 20-25 mins to get there from Beijing South Station.
Not sure what time it starts running though.

Yeah, I've taken the train before. But the earliest one doesn't get there in time for me to catch my flight.

i read this and thought about driving you myself for a minute, just to make extra cash! haha...then i realised that when you factor in gas (150rmb in my little 4-cyl) and highway tax (another 150rmb to tianjin and back) ..i'd actually be getting up early and doing a 3-4 hour round trip for absolutely nothing
..i say if you find someone willing to drive you to tianjin for 300 go for it! totally reasonable as the guy won't actually be making any money at all!

300 absolutely no way for a beijing driver. only possible when a tianjin driver is returning home.

good point..if a tianjiner is going back there anyway, he can get his ride paid for, that's about it

That is impossible!! maybe that is the socalled "black taxi" and you share this car with others, why not take a train to Tianjin? just call tel No. : 4006869500 ? door to door delivery of train tickets which depart from Beijing!

No way, no one will do that business. Let me tell you how much the driver will cost:
1, gas：around 80rmb for single trip so 160rmb for return trip.
2, frer way toll: 45rmb plus return back so 90rmb total.
3, Probably take half day to get back from Tianjin.
4, the car running (mileages).
So the total cost is 250rmb plus half day time and including a car (maybe have a lunch on the way 50rmb) but you only pay 300rmb. will you do this business if you were him.
