No you cannot stay 10 days without paying a fine--you misunderstood what you read, or found some bad internet advice. The Chinese are within their rights to fine you up to RMB 500 per day (max of RMB 5000 which = about 10 days). More than that is big trouble outside scope of this message. So, you might want to take the path of least resistance and figure the exit cost could be RMB 1000 (500 x 2 days of overstay), and have that with you in cash. If you're lucky they'll waive the fine. More likely, they'll extract the fine and give you a scolding. If unlucky, they'll take the fine, give you the scolding, and put a naughty stamp in your passport which could be a problem if you plan on ever getting another Chinese visa in that passport. But I think the naughty stamp unlikely with only a 2 day overstay.

Your alternative is to find a Chinese speaking friend to help you with the PSB, and try to get a 2-day extension, showing them your confirmed plane ticket out. If Yantai PSB won't help, try a different town--Qingdao might be more cooperative. This may end up being cheaper than the fine.

A Chinese visa agent is another alternative to get an extension, but this is likely to end up more expensive than the fine.

Or change your flight date to earlier if no change fee, or if change fee less than the likely fine.

you have to go to the exit and entry bureau to get a certificate on your condition.

you can extend your visa first ,go to the PSB with your ticket...

actually if you expire your visa ,you can not go out of china ,the goverment will give you a waining ,or some other kind of punishment ...
