First, check the forums - there are lots of these threads. Second, what do you mean by "good?" If you want to go all out and get imported fabric and spare no expense, then I hear Dave's is great (but around 4-5K per suit !) If you just want somebody who will do it right and won't scam you with poly blends and other corner-cutting, then I think Carol & Luc, Fei Fei, and Lisa Tailor are all generally liked on the forums. All are around 1000-1200 for good quality material in a suit. I had some shirts done at Lisa's and they are fine. Lisa's selection is very good but it's a big operation so it's not exactly personal. Fei Fei is tiny and personal, but English is an issue. Carol's seems good so far, I ordered a suit and yesterday a corduroy blazer, and the suit felt great at the fitting (still needs final adjustments though).
Anyways good luck and AVOID TOURIST MARKETS!!!!! Everything there is polyester-blended sweatshop work.
