1 yr F visa extension impossible after January 1st 2010 and no extensions beyond Shanghai Expo

Hi everone.
1. I have heard rumors that beginning of January 1st NO MORE 1yr F visa extions available due to the Shanghai Expo? And no extensions beyond Shanghai Expo???
2. Also the rumors say that the visas will be even more difficult to get than in 2008 Olympics period.
3. Due to the Shanghai Expo only 30 days will be issued later in spring with all the ridiculous restrictions....

Can anyone confirm???

Now, it is impossible to extend F visa on old F visa which is issued in SHANG HAI. but you can do extension in Beijing if your visa is from overseas or Beijing.

i think it will be hard but there still ways to extend F visa for half year, if you got your original F from outside of China or Hongkong. and visa from beijing also dont have probs to extend it, and actually the price redused a bit from Dec.

The policy becomes so strict ,and it's hard to extend your visa for 1 year.if you work in china ,i think you can apply for a Z visa ,it's valid for 1 year.

F extension for 1yr can be doe but it will take longer time n better do it at least 15days ahead of expire date.

Well, the 1yr F visa extension can be done all the time. However, it needs longer processing period (normally, it is been taken 15 working days at leanst.). And, if you are someone who need such extension, you should prepare your application 15 days ahead of your expire date as what phyllsili said above.

But, what i want to confirm is that we still can issue the 1 yr F extension.
