Has anyone ever brought seeds into China? Will it be easier to bring them in hand luggage or to mail them?? These are seeds for vegetables etc...nothing illegal.
Well, what may seem perfectly fine to you may not seem that way to customs. Sure maybe not 'smoking herb' but even ordinary seeds may carry some nasty fungus, bacteria, virus or bad gene. I have hand carried lots of veg. seed packets into china, no one looks. Do they ask? I think the 'relevant laws' and entry forms forbid importation of plants, esp those with soil. Are seeds are considered plants? A good question. In my opinion seeds certainly are plants. But I would not sweat veg or flower seeds in original, sealed packet either by post or hand carried. Don't carry live plants with roots into china. If questioned; oops so sorry, ignorant me!
