I'm not an expert or visa agent but from my experiences it is not possible to convert an F visa into an L. A call to the entry exit bureau will tell you the same thing.

If you want an L visa or your F visa is about to expire then you'll probably end up having to A} get your F extended or B} leave and apply for a new L visa abroad (Hong Kong is a convenient place to do this).

Yep, extend F without leaving or leave and apply a new L.

No F to L convertion.

you may convert F to work permit ......

F extend 6 months 1000
L extend 3 months 2300
L -F 6 months 4500

I arrived in Beijing this last Thursday using my F visa, which expires the 17th March. If I want to stay here one more week after this date, what should I do?
