I nearly lost it today. Not because of people spitting, being loud and cutting lines. I don't mind that stuff. It's simply not important.

to the issue at hand...

Today, a small ego had to react on my nationality by pointing out that i don't have 5000 years of history. Of course, I can't start arguing. If you're smart about something here, you're gonna get your head chopped.

Dear forumites (especially Chinese ones), I would like to know:

-Why is "your" (you're not 5000 years old, so it can't be your history) history important to Chinese people of today? Is it through your genes? Mystical spirits that the nation of China has been reincarnated for 5000 years? That you actually are 5000 years old? What?

How is the importance of history questioned in CHina? I would like to know.
