The stretch near the Drum Tower (Gulou) has a bunch of console games shops. You can also try the market in Lido, there's one shop that sells English only games. I think it's 10 kuai per disc.
i live near the sunny gold street market in lido, just wondering, which level are the wii games at??? and english only games for 10 kuai per disc...isnt that a bit steep??
Hi there, I just went to he sunny gold market today, I found the stall that sells wii games - theres only one in the whole market correct me if im wrong.
It is absolutely bullshiet...the games selection is small and the price is high (10 rmb) per disc. but i managed to bargain down to 5 rmb per disc. I asked the guy repeatly if the games are in english and he garunteed me they were, but then i find a japanese game in my selection he was red-faced.
I DO NOT RECOMMNEND COMING HERE, AND WHOEVER RECOMMENDED TO COME HERE IS AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT.
go to gu lou to buy wii games, theres 50 different games stalls on that street and you can bargain at each one.....
yeah but if you live in lido then going to gulou takes time... theres another market, close to jiuxianqiao and jiantai (I think thats the name of the street) and its cheap, the problem is the same, sometimes they come in japanese, but hey, its very close, I dont care if from every 4 games I buy, 1 comes in japanese, it only takes me 2 minutes to go there so I think its worth it. Dont know about wii games, but 360's are around 5 kuai

It looks like 2010 will be the year to dig through the cables behind the TV, dust off your Wii and finally get the most out of it.
For the first time since launch there will actually be more than one interesting Wii game this year.
Potentially great Wii games this year (IMHO):
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid Other M (Side scrolling 2d/3d hybrid)
Red Steel 2 (out now)
Monster Hunter Tri (out now )
New Legend of Zelda (announced, date unconfirmed)
Arc Rise Fantasia (JRPG)
Xenoblades (JRPG)
The Last Story (JRPG)
No More Heroes 2 (out now)
mmmm... still not sure if I should or should not buy the wii... any other old good games that make me think about it again?
By the way, does anybody know a place where I can get the xbox flashed with the ixtreme LT? 2 weeks ago I was around the silk market and I decided to go check if they had it... the had no idea of what I was talking about...
Also, anyone using it already? any problems with live?
Cheers

i have the motion plus and i havent tried playing it without it...

I also have a couple of other games that utilize the motion plus, a fishing game and a hockey game, and there are many more that are either out already or coming out.

Should be 5 quai a disc, maximum 7.
Chinese people don't pay 10 quai for copy video games, so you shouldn't either.

Re: Best place to buy Wii games
red steel 2 is f-ing GLORIOUS!
oh yeah? well, let me ask you this: shut up!
herojuana
Re: Best place to buy Wii games
Yes, Red Steel 2 is excellent, started playing it yesterday.
It's a complete reboot of the franchise, not a sequel.
Pretty physical game, you really have to slash and hack to get the sword registering proper heavy damage.

Re: Best place to buy Wii games
Cool, how much is this motion plus thing these days?
I remember it was around 200 kuai when it came out last year.
Worth it for just this game?

Re: Best place to buy Wii games
Yeah, in my opinion it's worth it.

I think I paid 180 for mine.
