In the Summer, Beidaihe coastline is lively and buzzing with excitement. Many people are swimming in the sea. It looks like a pot of dumplings boiling.

In the winter, Beidaihe coastline is quiet. The only sights are fishing boats afloat in the icy water and sleeping along its beaches.

Last winter at the New Year, two friends and I went camping by the seaside. During the day we walked by the sea, watching the small fishing boats launching out. In the evening we ate dumplings and lit fireworks on the beach. We arose early the next morning to see the golden yellow rays from the rising sun spread their sacred light across the vast sea. What an eternal memory!
