F is Business visiting visa, you can extend it for 3/6months but not change to L visa, need my help, feel free to contact me.

i think you can apply for a F visa ,take the invitation letter and go to HK to get a F visa ,and when you come back to china ,then you can extend your F visa for 3 or 6 months .

There are 2 solutions for you to get a new visa:
1. apply a new tourist visa on HK's Chinese Embassy or fly to any coutries where have Chinese Embassy there.
Then, you can come back to extend your L to 3 months or convert it to 6 or 12 months.

2. apply a business invitation letter
Steps: a. apply a business invitation letter in Beijing;
b. go to HK or other countries to apply a F visa in Chinese Embassy;
c. enter into China with the F , and then extend to 3/6/12 months as you want.

Yes, the Solution 2 is better than the former one. Cause if you are a F visa holder, you can stay here for a longer period and have time to find a employer to apply a Z in the valid days. Even if you don't wanna get a Z, you can also get lots of advantages from the F but the only thing that you have to renew the entry date annually.
