Dress/suit/button-down shirts (good quality)
I'm feeling lazy and don't want to go to a tailor to get shirts made; in lieu, I was hoping I could find a place where I might have to pay a little bit more but can get suit/dress shirts of good quality. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking that Shin Kong Place would be a good option but want to check with you all before I go there and whip out the platinum.
Thanks

Wow I see this site has changed significantly - no responses from ANYONE, not even a fellow mod. What do you guys do on here these days?

Try Cui Wei Plaza in Gong Zhu Fen. I had a quick look around there the other day and was impressed. Also there is a huge plaza somewhere near Wang Jing which has all the genuine name brand stuff and was not too pricey. Forgot its name but there is a free bus that goes there.

Thanks Scorpionking. I have no clue who Java Joe or the rest are. Nice going with the insults though, speak highly of the type of person you are (apart from the advice on where to find shirts which I appreciate).

Pretty much anywhere - most places can make good shirts for around 100 kuai - maybe 80 if you're a good bargainer, but I haven't managed to do it yet. Unless you speak great Mandarin, find somebody who speaks decent English so that you can get it EXACTLY how you want it.
I've been to Lisa Tailor in 3.3 in Sanlitun Village. Happy with the shirts, and they have a huge selection, but it's not super personal because it's big and the sales ladies aren't actually making the shirts. I went to Carol & Luc last week, haven't gotten my shirts yet but so far she's been super attentive and I like the small-shop feel - she's actually doing a lot of the tailoring herself, and she speaks good English. She even ships overseas with no extra fees other than shipping cost.
